Intent To Use:
The DiAGSure® Toxoplasma gondii Detection Kit is an in vitro diagnostic test for the specific identification of T. gondii, an obligate intracellular protozoan that causes toxoplasmosis, the most widespread parasitic infection worldwide. It infects almost all warm-blooded animals, but only felids, such as domestic cats, serve as definitive hosts capable of shedding infectious oocysts. Toxoplasmosis can lead to symptoms such as fever, lethargy, anorexia, weight loss, respiratory distress, ocular problems, and lymphadenopathy. The infection is especially dangerous for immunocompromised individuals, cancer patients, and pregnant women, with the risk of congenital transmission increasing from 15% in the first trimester to 65% in the third. The kit ensures high specificity and broad inclusivity for accurate detection and early diagnosis of T. gondii.
