DiAGSure® BK & JC virus detection kit

Intent to Use:
DiAGSure® BK & JC Virus Detection Kit is a molecular diagnostic assay designed for the simultaneous detection of BK virus (BKV) and JC virus (JCV) DNA using real-time multiplex PCR technology. Both viruses belong to the Polyomaviridae family and are highly prevalent in the human population, typically remaining latent in the kidneys and other tissues. Reactivation occurs primarily in immunocompromised individuals, such as transplant recipients or patients with HIV/AIDS. BKV reactivation is associated with BKV-associated nephropathy (BKVAN) and urinary tract complications, while JCV reactivation can lead to progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), a severe demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. The DiAGSure® multiplex kit enables highly sensitive, specific, and simultaneous detection of both viral DNAs in a single assay, supporting differential diagnosis, early intervention, and monitoring of polyomavirus-associated diseases in high-risk patients.
