Intent to use:
DiAGSure® CMV & EBV Multiplex PCR Kit is a sensitive and specific real-time PCR assay designed for the simultaneous detection and quantification of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein – Barr virus (EBV) DNA in clinical samples. Both viruses belong to the Herpesviridae family and can cause serious infections, especially in immunocompromised individuals such as transplant recipients and HIV patients. CMV is associated with diseases like mononucleosis, pneumonia, and congenital infections, while EBV causes infectious mononucleosis and is linked to several malignancies including Hodgkin lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The multiplex format allows efficient testing for both pathogens in a single reaction, reducing time and resource consumption. This kit provides accurate viral load measurement essential for diagnosis, monitoring, and guiding treatment decisions, supporting improved patient management and clinical outcomes.
