GSure® Gel Extraction Kit
The GSure® Gel Extraction Kit provides a reliable and efficient method for extracting high-purity DNA from agarose gels using color-guided pH adjustment and silica-column purification. Gel Dissolution
Gel slices (≤300 mg) are excised and incubated with 3× volume GGMB buffer at 60°C until completely dissolved. GGMB contains a pH indicator that signals optimal binding conditions:
● Pink → high pH; adjust with 3M sodium acetate (pH 5.2)
● Straw yellow → correct pH for binding
Add 1 gel volume isopropanol, mix, and briefly centrifuge. DNA Binding
The melted mixture is loaded onto the GMini silica column and centrifuged. DNA binds to the membrane while contaminants flow through. Washing
Columns are washed twice using ethanol-supplemented Membrane Wash Buffer, followed by a dry spin to remove residual ethanol—critical for downstream enzymatic reactions. Elution
