DiAGSure® Rickettsioses Detection Kit

Intent to use:
The DiAGSure® Rickettsioses Detection Kit is a highly sensitive and specific real-time PCR assay designed for the detection of Rickettsia species, the causative agents of various rickettsial infections including scrub typhus, spotted fever, and typhus group diseases. Transmitted through bites of infected mites, ticks, fleas, or lice, these zoonotic diseases often present as acute febrile illnesses with symptoms such as fever, rash, headache, and eschar, and can progress to life-threatening complications like multi-organ failure if left untreated. Due to symptom overlap with other tropical infections, early and accurate diagnosis is crucial. The DiAGSure® kit targets conserved genetic markers to detect Rickettsia DNA directly from clinical samples, even in early or low bacterial-load stages. It is an essential diagnostic tool for timely intervention, differential diagnosis of febrile illnesses, and enhanced surveillance in endemic regions, helping to reduce morbidity and mortality.
