Intent to use:
The DiAGSure® Viral STI Panel is a multiplex real-time PCR assay designed for the rapid and accurate detection of four major viral pathogens responsible for sexually transmitted infections: Herpes Simplex Virus type 1 (HSV-1), Herpes Simplex Virus type 2 (HSV-2), Human Papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16), and Human Papillomavirus type 18 (HPV-18). HSV-1 and HSV-2 are leading causes of genital and oral herpes, often recurring and remaining asymptomatic in carriers. HPV-16 and HPV-18 are high-risk genotypes responsible for the majority of cervical and other HPV-related cancers. This panel allows simultaneous detection of these clinically significant viruses from a single sample, supporting early diagnosis, risk assessment, and appropriate intervention.
