Intent to use:
The DiAGSure® Fungal Respiratory Panel is a multiplex real-time PCR assay developed for the simultaneous detection of Panfungal DNA, Aspergillus species, and Pneumocystis jirovecii in respiratory specimens. Fungal respiratory infections are a major cause of morbidity and mortality, particularly in immunocompromised patients, and often present with non-specific clinical and radiological signs that overlap with bacterial or viral pneumonia. Conventional diagnostic methods such as culture and microscopy are time-consuming and often lack sensitivity. The DiAGSure® panel enables rapid, sensitive, and specific detection of fungal pathogens directly from clinical samples, even at low DNA concentrations. The inclusion of a panfungal target allows for broad fungal screening, while specific detection of Aspergillus and Pneumocystis ensures focused diagnosis of life-threatening fungal pneumonias.
