Intent to use:
The DiAGSure® Candidiasis Detection Kit (6 pathogens) is a sensitive and specific multiplex real-time PCR assay designed for the accurate identification of six clinically significant Candida species directly from clinical samples. The panel targets Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, Candida auris, Candida parapsilosis, Candida krusei, and Candida glabrata—species commonly associated with superficial to systemic candidiasis, particularly in immunocompromised individuals. Importantly, several of these species are also implicated in vulvovaginal candidiasis, a prevalent sexually transmitted fungal infection that affects reproductive health and increases susceptibility to other STDs, including HIV. By enabling rapid and simultaneous detection of multiple pathogens, the kit significantly reduces diagnostic time and guides timely antifungal intervention.
