Intent to use:
The DiAGSure® Measles & Rubella Multiplex PCR Kit is a real-time PCR assay designed for the simultaneous detection and differentiation of Measles virus (MeV) and Rubella virus (RuV) in human clinical samples. Both viruses are highly contagious and can present with similar symptoms such as fever and rash, making clinical diagnosis difficult. Accurate laboratory confirmation is essential, particularly in the context of national elimination programs and outbreak investigations. Rubella infection during pregnancy can cause congenital rubella syndrome (CRS), leading to serious birth defects.
