GSure® Gel Extraction Kit provides high-quality, salt-free DNA purified from 0.5–2% agarose gels, ensuring excellent recovery of DNA fragments across a wide size range. Unlike conventional gel extraction buffers that rely on chaotropic salts such as guanidine thiocyanate, the GSure® system uses a non-chaotropic gel melting chemistry, preserving DNA integrity and eliminating inhibitory carryover. This chemistry ensures that the recovered DNA retains native structural features essential for highly sensitive enzymatic reactions.
The kit utilizes a silica-based spin mini-column platform optimized for selective binding of DNA in the presence of the proprietary melting buffer. The gel melting solution efficiently solubilizes agarose and releases DNA fragments while incorporating a chromogenic indicator to visually guide the user through complete gel dissolution, ensuring reproducibility and preventing partial melting–related loss.
GSure® Gel Extraction Kit is equally effective for PCR product clean-up and can purify DNA from complex protein-rich solutions. Experimental validation demonstrates >90% recovery efficiency from PCR reactions, confirming minimal loss of nucleic acid through the workflow.
A major advantage of the GSure® system is the absence of residual chaotropic salts, which are known to inhibit ligation, polymerase activity, sequencing enzymes, and transcriptional machinery. Purified DNA obtained with this kit is fully compatible with all downstream applications, including ligation and cloning, Sanger sequencing, high-fidelity PCR amplification, qPCR, and in vitro transcription. The resulting DNA exhibits high purity, excellent functional activity, and reproducible performance, making the GSure® Gel Extraction Kit a preferred choice for molecular cloning, genetic engineering, and advanced nucleic acid manipulation workflows.
Our GSure® Gel Extraction Kit offers high efficiency and yield in recovering DNA fragments from agarose gels while ensuring purity by effectively removing contaminants. It is versatile, accommodating various gel types and DNA staining methods, and compatible with downstream applications like PCR and sequencing. Ease of use is paramount, with user-friendly protocols and scalability to process different sample volumes. Quality control measures, including positive and negative controls, are included to ensure reliable results. The kit’s speed, storage conditions, and shelf life, as well as cost-effectiveness, are highly maintained for delivering a seamless gel extraction process.
